What a joke of a video. 😅

i recently taught a 5 year old boy in an early beginner drum class, at first i didn't realize the little boy was a lefty. the electric drum set was set for a righty. it took a while for me to realise the little boy was a lefty, because every time the kick pedal kicked in, the little boy was trying so hard to get in to the beat. i was thinking to my self at that time probably the drumming lesson was pretty hard for the little boy to take in. until his parents told me a story that they once played badminton with his boy and they experienced the same thing. the badminton playing was better with left hand. form that moment on, we agreed to set the drum mirror to the right only for the little boy. sigh.

in Canada , the big box stores , regularly find themselves overstocked with these bulky packages . Just bought one from canadian tire , at 50% off , that’s only 299 dog dollars !

Looks like you are doing great. I never used canned fuel. I just mixed it myself on my Stihl saws, back when I had them and it worked great without any issues. Great video. 😎👍

Just bought a 250 with 300 miles on it and I noticed that the oil level was slightly above the top line on the window. What would happen is there was too much oil in the case?

This stuff does not hold up in the sun (which I find ironic, considering it's made for outdoor signs). I wrapped an entire drum set with just one roll, it went on easy and looked great. Then, as I was setting up the set in my garage I moved the floor tom into the sun to move things around, and within 10 minutes the wrap started to wrinkle. I moved it back into the shade and about 15 minutes later it leveled out again. It was only about 70 degrees outside, with no humidity, so it's not like it was a scorching day. I've resigned myself to the fact I either have to only use the kit indoors (which will be tough since 3/4 of my Summer gigs are outdoors), or spend a ton on legit drum wrap. I guess it's a great option if you're only going to set up your kit in your basement or studio; if you plan on gigging outdoors, not so much.

How has it held up so far?

Will this change the sound quality of the drums at all?

I am a Left Hand Drummer , and I could not get comfortable with the Right Hand Setup at all So I end up doing the same setup Hi-Hat on Right side and the Floor Tom on the Left Side and my Left foot for the Bass Peddle, I have been doing this for the last 51 years. 👍

For a hell of a lot less money than what you did, you could have gotten a better e-kit from a better brand that comes with a good rack or stands. The wrap you did is better, but...

I'm just learning to play drums at over 50 years old and that was part of the reason because I am left-handed and people who try to teach me previously in my younger years or right-handed and it just doesn't feel natural to me

What if you are goofy footed but right handed? I try and figure that out, probably best just having a Lefty kit. Honest question I never learned drums as my right leg just doesn't kick. But drummer can be...tardy - so I often try at rehearsal

I play lefty for few years! Don't have an experience with gigs on stages, but will know that i have to tell my situation right before we apply to gig!

Sounds and looks great! Your hi hats seem to actually work, mine barely work hitting the edge, only consistent hitting the bow, did you modify or change the actual triggers inside, ive tried everything as far as settings, flipped the black cap on the spring, added a felt, loosened the tension nut, set bow and edge to same voice, thinking maybe a bad pieIi or connection inside?

No way, I am a lefty guitar player, and soon to be a lefty drummer. I refuse to do anything righty just because it goes with the flow. I am going to make an ambidextrous 9 piece drum set up, so righties can play my kit. But as far as hi hat and ride placement goes, it is going to cater to me.

Actually learned a lot

Well, I've just started to drum and I'm a lefty. Just the person you need. Ok so what I did was buy one of those drum practise kits for kids, the silicon ones with like 7 drum kits on it and some other functions. It costs $50. As you can imagine the setup especially on these kits is for righty. BUT, I'm a smart guy. I pulled apart the unit, and cut / flipped a few ribbons around and voila, hi-hat on the right. That's not the end. I decided for some reason I would spend 2 weeks mucking around myself, no internet, no guides, nothing. I found (the music I like anyway mostly 70's soul/disco) that I preferred KICK - Left foot, HI-HAT C/O Right foot. SNARE - Left Hand. HI-HAT right hand. Yep. So I go lefty only to go, open hand, lefty. which makes the lefty go backwards righty? But for me this is the most comformatble I prefer to hit the snare with my left dominant hand which NO drummer seems to do. Wow. It'll be interesting for my first lesson with a teacher (doing some research on being a lefty drummer beforehand and..it mirrors the the lefty experience in life.. kinda sucks) and you know what. I'm thinking f*ck this I'm going to learn every setup. Let's put the toms on the ceiling and I'll hit the ride with my ass. Might as well.

Why do you have 2 bassdrums but with a regular double pedal instead of 2 single pedals?

My 05 Yukon XL is currently sitting on 12.5 inches of lift and 40s with 5.13s front and rear. I’m about to bump it up to 15 inches of lift and 42s. With the 5.13s and all the other stuff I’ve done to it, it outruns my buddies 05 stock Tahoe easily. After I bump up the lift and tires, I’m gonna be working on a cam swap and a turbo build.
